Beaches

 

Denia has great variety of beautiful sandy beaches that stretch approximately 20KM of the east coastline. Having around 300 days of sunshine with an average temperature of 19C, the beach front is a fantastic place to relax and enjoy the weather. The harbour separates the beaches, the north being livelier and south the quieter.

The Northern Beaches of Denia have fine golden sand and shallow sparkling waters such as Els Molins, L'Almadrava, Albaranas, Les Bovetes, Les Deveses, Les Marines and Punta del Raset.


Les Marines is to the north of Denia and stretches over 2.5KM bordering with Albaranas to the south and Les Bovetes to the north.

Les Marines is recommended for families, great to visit during the summer sun and been awarded a Blue Flag in recognition of its quality. It is an open beach with fine golden sand and calm sparkling waters, with all round facilities and entertainment on offer.


L'Almadrava is long and narrow which is lined by summer houses, it has a mixture of rounded stones and sand favouring guests that prefer quieter environment.

Les Deveses is to the North of Denia and marks the beginning of Costa Blanca as to the north it borders Valencian town of Oliva. The beach stretches over 4KM bordering with L'Almadrava to the south where the beach consists of it fine golden sand and dunes. To the north the area is mainly composed of rounded stones. It's particularly suited to windsurfing and kite surfing during the summer months, when the Garbi and Llebeig winds blow.

Les Deveses beach also has been awarded with a blue flag in recognition to its quality. There are beach side restaurants and bars, sun beds and shades for hire and perfect to practice windsurfing and sailing.



Les Bovetes is a quiet bay with clean waters and thick sand, ideal for relaxing in the sun lying on a hammock. Also available at Les Bovetes is activities such as pedal boating.

Les Bovetes boarders Els Molins beach to the north and located in the Las Marinas area, surrounded by a semi-urban environment of well cared residential areas.



Els Molins is a sandy beach with an approximate stretch of 1½ KM located in the Las Marinas area neighbouring Les Bovets beach, it is ideal for those who like to relax in the sun with a drink as there are many beach bars, sun beds and shades available for hire. It's also great for guests who enjoy water sports, it contains a nice area for pedal boating and windsurfing including a windsurfing school for those looking to add to their experiences.

Els Molins is accessible for persons with limited mobility


Las Albaranas beach is close to Denia city centre also located in the Las Marinas area and very suitable to practise water sports. It's perfect opportunity for guests to hire a Jet Ski and experience wonderful time on the clear sparkling waters.


Punta del Raset is the main beach in the Las Marinas area and situated next to the Port of Denia which is visible from any part of the beach. It has an excellent sandy area where there are some dunes and a lot of vegetation all around. Punta del Raset is unique due to the characteristic shape of its lookout tower.

It is another great location for its water sports especially fishing, scuba diving and nice play area for youngsters on the fine golden sand.

Punta del Raset is good accessibility for persons with reduced mobility

The southern beaches of Denia lays Les Rotes beach where there is a series of small coves along a rocky coast and paradise for fishermen and divers.

The beaches are an ideal place for family outings, the waters being clean and safe, patrolled by lifeguards and being awarded with the Blue Flag for quality water. The main beaches all have foot showers, sun beds and shades for rent with many beach bars serving drinks and refreshments.

 


Marineta Casiana is a very spacious beach situated next to the Port of Denia on the southern side Las Rotas. The surroundings are pleasant including lots of chalets with stunning vegetation, palm trees and pines, making it very beautiful.

There are many beach bars, water sports available and great area for people new to diving due to the shallow waters.


El Trampolí has a small beach area in Las Rotas and great place for practicing diving. It has a nice micro reserve of flora.


Punta Negra beach is known for its clear waters in Las Rotas and is visited by frequently by diving enthusiasts.


Arenetes beach is another great spot for scuba diving in Las Rotas with beautiful turquoise waters and rocky sea bottoms. There are many sea food restaurants and parking facilities. Arenetes beach is especially recommended for diving and snorkelling.


La Cala beach is the most southern beach of Las Rotas and Denia's long stretch of beach. It is a small cove and the scale of the waters is very beautiful.
